The modern Aston Martin V8 Vantage is a sports car from British manufacturer Aston Martin. Aston Martin has previously used the “Vantage” name on high performance variants of their existing GT models, notably on the massively powerful heavyweight Virage-based supercar of the 1990s. The modern car, in contrast, is the leanest and most agile car in Aston’s three-model lineup. As such, it is intended as a more accessible model to compete with cars such as the Porsche 911.

Introduced all-new for the 2006 model year, the V8 Vantage was first seen at the Geneva Motor Show in 2005. The two seat, two door coupé has a bonded aluminum structure for strength and lightness. The 172.5 inch (4.38 m) long coupe features a hatchback-style tailgate for practicality, with a large luggage shelf behind the seats.

The V8 Vantage is powered by a 4.3 L (4282 cc) quad-cam 32-valve V8 which produces 380 hp (283 kW) at 7,000 rpm and 302 lb-ft (409 N·m) at 5,000 rpm. Though based loosely on Jaguar’s AJ-V8 engine, this engine is unique to Aston Martin and features race-style dry-sump lubrication, which enables it to be mounted low in the chassis for an improved center of gravity. The cylinder block and heads, crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, camshafts, inlet and exhaust manifolds, lubrication system, and engine management are all unique to Aston Martin. The V8 is assembled by hand at the AM facility in Cologne, Germany, which also builds the V12 for the DB9 and Vanquish.

The engine is front mid-mounted with a rear-mounted transaxle, giving a 49/51 front/rear weight distribution. The V8 Vantage can accelerate to 60 mph (97 km/h) in a manufacturer claimed 4.9 seconds (62 mph (100km/h), 5sec) and reach a 175 mph (280km/h) top speed. As a testament to the car’s performance, handling, and endurance, an almost-stock Vantage entered and completed the 2006 Nurburgring 24-Hour race finishing 24th overall at the race, among a field of largely motorsport-homologated cars. The only modifications to the car were a roll cage, racing fuel system, fire protection, racing seat, and hydraulic jacks. The car was otherwise completely standard, including a regular production engine, transmission, suspension, and bodywork.
The V8 Vantage retails for £79,000, US$110,000, or €104,000, and Aston Martin plans to build up to 3,000 per year. Included is an exclusive interior with leather-upholstery for the seats, dash, steering-wheel, and shift-knob. A two-tone full-leather interior is available as an option, as are heated front seats, navigation, rear parking sensors, and xenon headlights.

Ferrari F2004

F1 car from ferrari F2004 is made for F1 championships and it is its 50s car created for that prestigious competition. That projects, which was known by the code 655 is a new evolution for ferrari concepts, as seen in F2003-GA. Engineers have completely recreated and redesigned the car.



Their goal was to acheive the best possible performance received out of the new engine 053 and of the tyres provided by Bridgestone. They also had to change aerodynamics of the car due to recent technical regulations and rules changes and also get the best possible efficiency of the whole package. Also its weight distribution is improved and the chassis is completely new. Compared to previous model F2003-GA the weight has been reduced and the car´s structure is improved. Also other parts like exhausts, bodyworks and the rear part have been changed and redesigned. The improvem,ent of handling needed rework of front and rear suspension.



There are many new materials being used on the new ferrari car. Their purpose is to reduce weight and size. After F1 regulations and modifications, the 053 engine had to be redesigned to meet those new criteria and acheive its optimal reliability and its life have to be twice as long as in the past but with improvede performance. Some of technical specifications of the engine: Displacement: 2,997 cm3, V10, aluminium cylinder block, 40 valves, pneumatic distribution, Magneti Marelli injection, 7 gears plus reverse, lenght is 4545 mm, width is 1796 mm, height is 959 mm, wheelbase is 3050mm, front track is 1,47m, weight is 605kg.

Citroen DS3 Racing limited to 1000 units

Here’s a hotter version of the Citroen DS3 that the French company will debut at the Geneva show in early March, limited to just 1,000 production units. The car is rather unimaginatively called the Citroen DS3 Racing and gets its 1.6 liter BMW-PSA Prince engine boosted up to 200 horsepower, up from the original 156hp unit installed in the stock DS3. Torque gets upped to 275Nm from 240Nm.




Citroen achieved the 200 horses with remapping the turbo and ECU control, “modified and optimized powertrain components” (oh such detail) and installed a special tail pipe and exhaust muffler. To cope with the extra power, brakes have been upgraded to 4-pot calipers at the front and all four wheels get new discs, including drilled discs for the rear.




The steering has also had some updates to be more “precise” and to suit the new larger tyros. The suspension gets stiffer springs, adapted front and rear shocks to handle the increased power, front and rear track gets widened by 30mm, and the car gets lowered by 15mm. Finally, the ESP programming has been updated to suit the new components.

LUXURY New CARS

Well-off people normally have more than one car. They have cars for work and they have cars for special occasions. The special occasion cars are usually luxury cars that cost several times as much as a regular sedan. The question is should you be buying luxury cars at all?

Some people prefer luxury cars over a sedan. And there are simply too many cars in the market claiming to be one even if they are short on certain features. So before you fall for these claims hook, line, and sinker, it is best that you know what a luxury vehicle really is and what is not.



Leather seats and an exceptional stereo system don't make a car a luxury vehicle. Keep in mind that luxury cars are not built overnight. More than the make and model of the car, these vehicles require years of planning and design. And so the companies that are worthy to release luxury cars are only those who have been in the automotive industry for a long time. It would be an added plus it they have already proven their worth in that particular line.


Lexus cars and Rolls and Royce are good examples of luxury cars. But before you go ahead and purchase these vehicles, you've got to ask yourself if you can afford it. If you can't, would you settle for a second-hand? Luxury car manufacturers imply that if you're asking for the price of a luxury vehicle prior to buying it, chances are, you can't afford it. So unless you can go up to a million on one luxury car, it is not worth asking whether or not you should buy one or not.

BMW M1 New Green Sport Concept

The 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show that's coming up in September appears to be gaining some significant momentum in as far as product is concerned. Major automakers will make big announcements there and BMW is set to be one of them. A new sports car concept will be unveiled by Bavaria at the show and it is said to offer a future solution for current C02 challenges posed by cars.



What exactly this car will be made from is unknown for now, that is, if it will be constructed from light alloys, some form of plastic composite or both, or whether it is a hybrid or a full-on electric drive vehicle. One system it will have is EfficientDynamics Vision which will carry sustainable concepts not only in the drivetrain but in its design as well as materials used. BMW aims to inject a good dose of human and financial muscle to ensure this car becomes the platform for future "sheer driving pleasure" combined with environmental friendliness.


Several reports have claimed this car's existence before with some saying it will use a modified version of the company's 3.0-litre petrol turbo engine and others suggesting other power sources.

Although both minimalist, the cockpits of the two cars reveal the generation gap. The old SLR epitomises minimalism: a plate-sized rev counter, slim tartan seats, removable wooden steering wheel

and open-gate dogleg gearbox are all you get. In the new 2009 SLR, carbonfibre lines the door accents, leather is replaced by cloth and the manual box is replaced by an automatic one. The instruments are small and barely legible and there is climate control rather than raw ventilation flaps.
There’s no radio, no phone and no sat-nav in this maximum SLR, but we do notice shift paddles, an ESP Off button and a plump multifunction steering wheel that wouldn’t look out of place in a diesel taxi

Podcast Craziness

As many of you know I do the official podcast for the webseries The Guild. Well because of my vacation by podcast duties go a bit behind. Not only am I doing our regular podcast, microcasts, and minicast I've added something else to my duties.. CompanionCasts.

If you read my blog on a regular bases then you know I worked on set of the Guild. This season I was solely there as a podcaster, gathering interviews about the upcoming season. And now that Season 4 is about to begin I have to create this brand new podcast.

So the past four days (Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday) I have been working on various podcasts. I have to do 3 CompanionCasts, 2 Regular podcasts and 1 Special podcast. All by next Tuesday.

I currently have 1 CompainCast done, and just in time as it is released tomorrow (or midnight tonight). I finished 1 regular podcast Ep. 18 part 1 which is due Thursday July 15th. Once those are done I have to work on 2 more CompainCast for episode 2 (which is released next Tuesday, which means my cast has to be done by Wednesday) and 3. Then part 2 of episode 18 which we still have to record a part of it. And I have to get all these done by Tuesday of next week as I'm heading out to Comic Con on Wednesday and will be gone until Sunday evening.

So I have lots of work ahead of me. I'll be spending most of the rest of this week working on these podcasts. I'm hoping now that I have 2 done the rest will be easier to finish.. I hope.

It is always a good idea to get a second or third opinion about your Chinese character. Find a Chinese person that you could talk to about the design. Also it is worth noting that there are many different fonts to choose from, some of which can be clearer to see than others.

Make sure that you find a good Chinese letter tattooist who is used to working with the characters. It is important for the tattooist to know the correct meaning and the structure of each character. Remember that one simple stoke in the wrong place can completely change the message of Chinese letter tattoos.

Top Secret Project

Today was a ton of fun. I got up early to get there. Once there it was nothing but fun and excitement. Got to meet some new people and hang out with old friends. It was a super long day 8am to 11pm but it was chuck full of OMG and I can't believe they did that moments. Will be doing this all again tomorrow. Can't wait until I can share what it exactly it is I did.

Home Sweet Home

Today I did very little.. did a little unpacking, had to go grocery shopping (as we made sure we had no food before we left for our trip) and tried to caught up on some internet stuff but for the most part I did nothing but relax and catch up on some TV that we had recorded during our vacation. It's good to be home!!!

2010 Pacific Northwest Road Trip

17 Days, 8 States and over 4000 miles. Harry, Daisy and I had a fantastic vacation/road trip. For the most part everything went as planned. We didn't have any issues with the truck and only a few issues with the hotels. Daisy was wonderful, if not over protective at times and Harry and I got to see some very beautiful sites.

I know I was ready to come home when we did but Harry said he could continue to travel for another few months.

I'm not going to go into great detail about the trip as I did written and video blogs every night of the trip. If you want details read/watch my previous posts.

I'm looking forward to getting my life back to normal, or as normal as my life can get. I was excited to get up this morning and not have to drive anywhere.. that was a great feeling.

I will be traveling again at the end of the month for Comic Con but that's down in San Diego and only a few hours drive.. I think I can handle that.

Modified Cars

It's common practice for motoring enthusiasts to be penalised by their car insurer for modifying their vehicle. Whether its alloy wheels, an upgraded exhaust system, a performance enhancing engine chip or even privacy glass, the end result equates to higher risk, and in turn this leads to higher premiums.

Pacific Northwest Road Trip - Day 17

This is the final day of our 2010 vacation / road trip. We are driving from St. George, Utah to our home in Agua Dulce, California. We took an unusual way home as both Harry and I are not fans of the Arizona Governor and her ultra right wing garbage with immigrants and gays. So instead of driving the 50 miles stretch of the 15 through Arizona Harry routed an alternate route.. only issue was that it was 135 miles out of our way and would add 2 1/2 hours of travel time. I was willing to over look hating Arizona and just get through that state as quickly as possible but Harry was adamant not to set foot there and I understood where he was coming from and agreed to drive the extra miles.


I'm kind of glad we did as it was an adventure into it's own. Harry mapped out everything on google maps but our travels didn't go as planned. We got to the highway that Harry had mapped out but soon it turned into a highway that we didn't know about and shortly after that it turned into a dirt road. Yeah we were in the middle of Utah/Nevada desert on a dirt road hoping we were going the correct way. When we hit a fork in the road we started to panic.


Harry had no idea which way to go and there was no clue as to which road to take. So we used our trusty GPS (which btw didn't show us on any road, just showed us driving in the middle of nowhere) I zoomed out on the GPS as far as it would go and saw that the 319 (which is the highway we were looking to connect with) was north of us so we took the north fork. Another half hour and we saw a sign that said 319 15 miles ahead. I could breath again... still had to drive on a dirt road but we knew we were going in the right direction.


After that we made it to the 319 then to the 93 and finally back onto the 15 and into Vegas. It was a long and crazy detour but a fun adventure.


Once it Vegas I knew we would hit traffic as it was the Fourth of July holiday traffic and it was Monday so everyone would be heading home.. I was hoping we were early enough to miss the traffic but I was wrong. Took about an hour and a half to drive from downtown Vegas to Primm (CA/NV border). After that we hit pockets of traffic here and there and in the end it added about 2 1/2 hours to our already extended trip home.


But at 8:30pm we made it home and man there is no place like home. I know Harry could have traveled for a few more months but I was happy to be home.

Automotive Modifications for Drifting - Continued

In our last article, we discussed the first four typical modifications for drift cars: drive train, tires, interior and exterior. This article will focus on the final three customization areas (engine, steering and suspension), and will touch base on some of the less well known mods that drifters often seek for their car. When thinking about drifting, whether professionally or otherwise, it is imperative that drivers know the ins and outs. Some may learn techniques easily, and others may have more funding for modifications, but it is important to understand balance, and further, that one without the other useless.





Before understanding engine modifications, one must understand braking horsepower. Braking horsepower is defined as the quantity of a motor's horsepower without the decline in force caused by the gearbox, generator, differential, water pump and other supportive parts. In other words, real horsepower that is rendered to the driving wheels is less than what the vehicle is actually rated for. The differences in horsepower and braking horsepower are crucial for a drifter to understand in order for him or her to accurately modify their car for drifting.

When a driver is considering engine mods for a drift car, it is imperative that they monitor the bhp that they will be achieving with such modifications. Too much braking horsepower in a drift car makes it extremely difficult to control, even for the most advanced drifter, but bhp is still a preference, not something that is written in stone. Most drifters like to achieve a braking horsepower somewhere between 100 and 1000. However, bhp is less important than engine customizations, such as, cooling systems.

A good cooling system for a drift car is critical because these engines are pushed so hard and thus, are easily overheated. Additionally, because the car is driven in at a linear angle, the air flow to the radiator is restricted, so drivers must balance these issues with an upgraded cooling system. Manufacturers, like MimoUSA, Greddy and Fujita, all make racing radiators and cold air intake systems that are designed to cool engines that are expected to perform at higher temperatures than normal. Another technique that is commonly applied is to V-mount the radiator and intercooler, thus improving the flow of air into these areas. For those that are contemplating even minimal amounts of drifting, these cooling modifications are a must. Without them, one risks serious damage to major components under the hood.

The goal in drifting is simple...get your car sideways and keep it going sideways as long as possible. One type of modification that can help to achieve this is steering mods. Not only do steering customizations help to achieve one's angle goals, but they can also aid in spin recovery. Typical steering mods include, spacers on the steering rack, tailor-made steering racks, custom tie rod ends and machining the spindles. Steering modifications coupled with an extraordinary suspension system will make any car a much better drifter, assuming that the driver knows what they are doing.

When most people think about modifying their suspension system, they are contemplating adjusting the height of their ride, all over. In other words, they may want to lower their car by three inches, but when they lower it, the effect will be all over the car. Drifters are a little different. While they do typically adjust the height of their drift car, it is simply a personal preference, not something that is written in stone. Additionally, the front of the car is typically higher than the rear of the car. Rear sway bars are typically upgraded, and available from a variety of manufacturers. One new appeal to drifters is manufacturers that are producing specially tuned drift suspension systems. These systems are fairly new and very expensive, so it is likely that drifters will not be utilizing these until they become more affordable. Other suspension mods include increasing spring and damper rates.

As stated in our last article, drift modifications present a kind of catch twenty-two. They are expensive to do without backing from sponsors, but the only way to get sponsors is to have a good drift game. In other words, you have to put the money into the modifications first and then hope for sponsors later. Drifters often look for parts on auction sites, because the prices appear to be lower than those on sites that are specifically designed for performance and aftermarket parts and accessories. However, one must remember that many sellers on auction sites are not selling genuine parts, and they often jack up the cost of shipping to increase their profit margin.

One must carefully choose who they will deal with when buying their parts and accessories. One real benefit is that often times, most of the parts that drifters buy for their vehicles are easily installed without the aid of a mechanic or body shop.

Alloy Wheels, Body Kits, Tuning - Is Car Modification For You

In this article I'm hoping to answer the question that some people are not too sure about, is car modification for me? There are many different types of modifications you can do to your car including alloy wheels, interior mods, body kits, tinted windows, and loads more. In my personal opinion I think you can make your car suit your own personal style with just a few tasteful mods and small tweaks here and there, you don't need to go and get huge spoilers and massive body kits to get noticed although some people do like this kind of styling I just don't think its necessary. The first thing I would do when setting out to mod a car would be to see what sort of products and goodies are out there for your car and then because you have seen what is available you can put together a picture in your head of what you would like your car to end up looking like. Some other important things to think about when picking modifications is what you will be using the vehicle for or the amount of use that vehicle gets.



For example if you have a car that needs to be used for every day driving to and from work over various road conditions sometimes with heavy loads you wouldn't want to lower the car too much as the extra weight would affect how the car handles as well as the ride being compromised all these things need to be thought about before you do anything to your car because what might seem like a good idea one minute will bite you in the arse a few months down the line. Outrageous modification might also cause problems when it comes to selling the vehicle just think when you're trying to sell something you want the biggest market possible and I know for a fact that not everyone like rides slammed to the ground on 20" rims. So if possible make the mods subtle or even keep the old parts you replace and simply swap them back when you're ready to sell.

The only way to tell if car modification is for you is to try it out maybe you have just got your first car and you want to change it up a bit or maybe you have just got a car you have been longing after for some time and want to switch it up a bit, my advice would be to start small. Alloys wheels really change the look of the car giving it a much more aggressive look and feel they will also help you stay stuck to the road with a wider contact area for your rubber. If you look around you can find some good deals out there so it won't cripple your bank account. Once you have the wheels on your ride you might decide that is it, it looks the dogs or you might think 'oh its not quite what I was looking for maybe I'll just......', what I'm trying to say is don't rush into it you could get in above your head and not only could you lose a substantial amount money but you could also ruin your car which could result in all sorts of problems.

If you're looking at a particular car to be your first car modification experience you should log on to some forums, there are loads out there ranging from small tuning mods to full on totally modified custom rides. There is something out there for everyone and you'll normally find a lot of people on these forums that will be willing to help you, give you great tips and tricks and really help you get your head around what you want to achieve. I remember when I got my first car (escort MK4) I wanted to 'kit it up a bit' but I really wish I had someone or even better a group of people to talk it over with, it just make things a little easier and things will normally run a little smoother if you take your time. If you are reading this then I'm almost 100% sure there is some sort of car modification that will interest you in some way or another so go forth and modify. I hope this has helped you understand why and what car modification is about after all there are many ways to mod a car were not all just boy racers but still want to show the world what we are about through our cars.

Pacific Northwest Road Trip - Day 16

Today was the last day of sightseeing of our 2010 Vacation. We planned to visit Zion National Park. So we left around 10 am, took I-15 to Highway 9 and followed it east. about 1 hour later we got to Zion. We checked the map and it turns out that most of the features of Zion can be explored if you go backpacking. Since dogs are not allowed on trails, that wasn't really an option. So we drove through the southern part of Zion. That are about 15 miles or so, but it was still very impressive and the rock formations are incredible. Something that definitely has be experience in person. We have to go back to Zion in the future and without the dog to go backpacking. We crossed Zion from West to East and by the time we reached the East Entrance it was just a little after noon. People told us that we should go visit Bryce Canyon National Park while we were down here.. so we looked it up on the map and saw that it was about 60 miles north of were we were so we decided to go up and check it out.

So we took US Route 89 north to Highway 12. We followed highway 12 east. While on the 12 we came across a place called Red Canyon and OMG.. there was some of the most amazing looking rock formations that I had ever seen. It was like driving on Mars.. everything was an organish red. It's hard to describe the beauty of the lands, it's something that really needs to be experienced in person. At every view point we stopped and took a ton of pictures and video.

After the Red Canyon we followed highway 12 and got to the entrance of Bryce Canyon National Park. Our first stop was called Swamp Canyon. You have a pretty good view of parts of Bryce Canyon and here it becomes clear, why it is called a canyon. Until that point it reminded us more of your average forest. We drove further up and decided to stop at most of the view points on our way back down, since they all were on the opposite side.

We finally made it to Rainbow Point, the endpoint of the road and with an elevation of 9115 feet also the highest point of the canyon. From this point you have an absolutely amazing 180 degree view... And man what an fantastic view. The Hoodoo's are absolutely stunning. A Hoodoo is a Sandstone Columns, it's something that I have never seen before.

After we had taken pix and video we started to drive back down. We stopped at several view points and from every view point we had an absolutely stunning view. One that was pretty cool was called Natural Bridge. It's kind of a rock bridge, but it reminded me way more of an arch. Regardless it was just amazing to look at. After taking pix and video we continued to drive down Bryce Canyon. We stopped at several amazing viewing points before we got to Bryce Pointe... WOW.. that is all I can say about that view. I can't even put it into words. I have to say that this is the best thing I have seen on our entire trip.. and I've seen some really beautiful stuff.. this view took my breath away. While I was taking pictures I saw way down at the bottom what looked like a hiking trail... the only thing I thought was, that this has to be one of the most amazing hiking trails I have ever seen. Guess we will have to go back to Bryce Canyon and hike that entire trail, but in order to do so we have to leave the dog at home.

Next up was a viewing point called Paria View. This point had some great views, but doesn't even compare to Bryce Pointe. We then saw Inspiration Point, Sunset Point and Sunrise Point. Though they were all great views after Bryce Pointe, nothing would compare.

We headed back through Red Canyon and back on the freeway. It took 2 hours to get back to our hotel, we picked up some Wendy's for dinner and called it a night.

All in all it was a great day.. so glad we decided to head to Bryce Canyon because if we didn't we wouldn't have seen Red Canyon or the stunning views of Bryce Canyon.

Pacific Northwest Road Trip - Day 15

Today was pretty much a travel day. We were going down to St. George (UT) since we will be visiting Zion National Park tomorrow, and St. George was the closest city where we were able to get a hotel.

We got up at our usual time and started to get ready. By 10 am the truck was all packed up and we were ready to leave. So we took US Route 191 North until we reached the junction with I-70. We followed I-70 to the junction with US Route 6. We stayed on I-70 and followed it west.

I-70 was so much more interesting to drive than the I-15, as the areas you drive through are more diverse. There are a couple of view points along the freeway that we checked out. Two of them were Black Dragon Canyon and Bottom of the Sea. Black Dragon Canyon is a mini version of the Grand Canyon and therefore very impressive. Bottom of the Sea is, like the name suggests, the former ocean floor and quite an impressive site as well.

The only thing that you have to consider when traveling the I-70 is the fact that you should make sure you have enough gas. We didn't fill the truck up at the junction with US Route 6 and you have only 1 chance to fill up for about 106 miles.

We weren't sure if we were going to make it to Salina, so we got off the freeway and drove to the little town of Emery (UT), it was about 12 miles from the freeway and we got gas there. So we filled the truck up and headed back to the freeway.

We probably could have made it to Salina, but it was better to not take the chance. We got off the freeway in Salina anyway and had lunch at Denny's. We got back onto the freeway and continued to head south-west until we hit I-15. we got onto I-15 and headed south. At the next rest stop I took over the driving.

The further we got south the hotter it got. So far it hadn't been that bad... It has been around 85 all day long. That changed during the last 30 miles, when the temperature went up to 100. Pretty toasty. At 4.30 pm we had finally made it to the hotel in St. George (UT).

Pacific Northwest Road Trip - Day 14

Today we took a trip into Arches National Park. Since we were staying in Moab (UT) we were only a couple of minutes from the park entrance. We started driving into the park and stopped right at the beginning at a point where you had a great look at the Moab Fault. We then continued driving through the park. And the same thing as in Glacier National Park was happening. You see one absolutely great view and you turn around to find an even more amazing view. We got to see lots of absolutely amazing rock formations. You just have to see these in person as there are no words to adequately describe them.

Our next stop was a point called Courthouse Towers. An absolutely stunning rock formation. As always Harry and I took lots of pix and video. Next up was a stop at the Petrified Sand Dunes. As the name suggests it's a rock formation that looks like sand dunes frozen in stone.

Up next was the Balanced Rock. This formation features a large rock being balanced on a very small surface. It's incredible how it sits there right on top and not falling over. We stopped at a formation called the Garden of Eden.

Next up was our first real arch. This feature is called Windows. I walked up and took quite lots of video. I got also to take same video of the second arch of the Windows arch feature. Since we had the dog we had to take turns going on the path and checking out the three arches. Harry took the video and I took photos. We got to see the North and South Arch and what they call The Turret Arch.. all of them were amazing.

Next up was an overview point from where you have a very good overlook over the 'Salt Valley'.
Then we checked out the "Delicate Arch". I walked up first and checked out the lower and the upper view point. Turns out that it doesn't really matter which view point you choose, you pretty much have the same view and man it's a long walk up to the second higher view point. I saved Harry from doing it. The only way to get a really good look of that arch, would be to take the 3 mile long hike to the arch, which we couldn't do since we had Daisy with us.

Next up was "Fiery Furnace", again this is something that needs to be viewed in person as it's so hard to describe it's beauty. The next stop was an arch called "Skylight Arch". It's another cool looking arch.

Once we were done with that, we drove to "Devils Garden", were the road ends. We took pix and video, but couldn't go up to any of the features since that would have been a longer hike and since dogs are not allowed on trails that wasn't an option. So we didn't see Landscape Arch and a couple of other arches.

All in all it was a great day.. it amazes me how Glacier National Park was so beautiful with it's waterfalls, lakes and green everywhere. And Arches was just as beautiful with it's rock, dirt and brown everywhere.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Trailer

OMG.. this came out a few days ago and when I watched it for the first time it brought tears to my eyes.. it looks AWESOME!!! I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. I LOVE the books but I also LOVE the movies and this final movie (well 2 movies) look like they are going to be the best. I so can't wait till November for this to come out.

Pacific Northwest Road Trip - Day 13

Once again this is a travel day. Driving from Ogden, Utah to Moab, Utah. The drive was pretty good. It got warmer as we went south and east. Utah reminded me of California more then any other state. It has the same stores, fast foods and looks the same with the brown hilly lands. As we went further southeast we got to what I see in my mind as Utah. The cool rock formations and the red rocks.. that's Utah to me.

We made it to the hotel and are relaxing for our long day tomorrow of exploring Arches National Park.
